To say it's been a crazy year in television is an absolute understatement. The beginning of the year, everyone and their mother couldn't stop talking about Steven Avery in "Making a Murderer." Next came Ryan Murphy's "American Crime Story," and then of course, the foul-mouth Selina Meyer in HBO's "Veep." The TV landscape has certainly changed in the past 10 years, and it's changed for the better.
Aside from presenting a bunch of famous people with Emmy statues, our favorite part is most definitely the hosts! This year, Jimmy Kimmel takes the stage for the second time in what is sure to be a hilarious evening. But that got us thinking, what about the past hosts?
Check out our list for our 5 favorite Emmy's hosts!
5.) Conan O'Brien -- 58th Primetime Emmys
You really can never go wrong with Conan O'Brien! And yes he hosted the show four years prior, but his pop culture filled cold open complete with the cast of "The Office," "Lost" and more certainly won us over.

4.) Seth Meyers -- 66th Primetime Emmys
Seth Meyers brought a freshness and his own brand of hilarious topical humor to the show, and left us wanting more. And who can forget that Weird Al Yankovic spoof?

3.) Jimmy Kimmel -- 64th Primetime Emmys
That's right, Jimmy Kimmel's first time hosting made our list. Kimmel's opening monologue was basically ripped from the pages of his late night show, and we wouldn't love anything less.

2.) Jimmy Fallon -- 62nd Primetime Emmys
Who can forget Fallon's hilarious "Born to Run" Glee spoof as his cold open? Jimmy pretty much had us at "hello."

1.) Ellen DeGeneres -- 53rd Primtime Emmys
Ellen managed to make people smile and laugh, in the hardest of times, and that's when you know you've got a great host on your hands. The comedian followed the 9/11 attacks, and in that moment, people needed to smile. "What would bug the Taliban more than seeing a gay woman in a suit surrounded by jews."
