Miranda Lambert ends tour early, reveals new album coming in November

Tuesday brought good news and bad news for fans of country star Miranda Lambert.

The bad news: Lambert has been forced to cancel the last three dates of her Keeper of the Flame Tour, which was scheduled to wrap up in her home state of Texas this weekend. Live Nation announced that doctors have ordered mandatory vocal rest for the singer.

The Lone Star State darling had been set to perform Thursday in Corpus Christi, Friday in Austin, and Saturday in San Antonio. No word yet on whether the dates will be rescheduled.

Last summer, Lambert canceled a show in Calgary, Canada, due to vocal cord inflammation.

And, the good news? Lambert announced the name and release date of her next album.

A suspenseful 47-second black-and-white video posted to her Twitter account Tuesday shows the singer sitting in her trailer, back to the camera, writing in a notebook. The message is her exciting album news: "The Weight of These Wings. Nov. 18."

The announcement follows her video for "Vice," which debuted in July as the first single from her upcoming sixth studio album.

It has been more than two years since she released her previous album, Platinum, which won the Grammy for Best Country Album in 2015.

The Weight of These Wings will be produced by Frank Liddell, Glenn Worf and Eric Masse.
