8 movies that will most definitely get you into the spooky, Halloween spirit

It's the time of year where pumpkin spice lattes, UGG boots, and haunted hayrides become very much the norm. It's fall, everyone!

Now that the best time of year is finally here, we couldn't help but recount some of our absolute favorite fall flicks. We decided to gather some spooky movies that you absolutely need to re-watch to get in the spirit!

8.) The Witches
The hilarious, albeit kind of terrifying movie follows a young boy who discovers a convention of witches, with the head witch played by Anjelica Huston. Looking back, not a great movie for a small child.

7.) Practical Magic
Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock star in the Halloween-esque flick about two sisters who were born into witchcraft, but have zero interest in it...until of course one of their boyfriends dies and they want to resurrect him.

6.) The Addams Family
There is not much you need to know about this creepy family, other than they are pretty great.

5.) Halloweentown
We get all the Halloween feels when we think about Disney Channel's original movie, "Halloweentown." Marnie Piper finds out her grandmother (and her mother) are both witches, and tries to help save their magical town from the evil Kalabar.

4.) Beetlejuice
You know when Tim Burton is directing, you are in a for a wild ride. Michael Keaton takes the role as the dead spirit in this hilarious comedy.

3.) Harry Potter
The books and movies are literally based around witches, wizards and witchcraft. And there's pumpkin juice. It's all you need, really.

2.) Casper Meets Wendy
If you think of the word iconic, this Hilary Duff masterpiece should really come to mind. In her first starring role, Duff plays Wendy, a witch, who meets up with Casper, a ghost, and it just all too good to miss.

1.) Hocus Pocus
When you think of movies getting you into the spooky spirit, "Hocus Pocus" is top of mind. A movie about three witches known as the Sanderson sisters wreaking havoc on the town of Salem is a sure-fire success.
