'SNL' unveils new cast members Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor and Mikey Day

"Saturday Night Live" has officially unveiled three new cast members for Season 42: Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor and Mikey Day

TheWrap previously reported Day's promotion from the writing staff. He hails from Nick Cannon's improv series "Wild 'N Out," where Day was a standout.

"SNL" returns Oct. 1 for its season premiere.

"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
