Chipotle testing burrito drones on college campus

Since the incidents of Chipotle customers falling ill due to E. Coli last year, the Mexican chain has been aiming to win people back with a number of different promotions. Their latest seems to be an innovation in food delivery: drones will deliver food to college campuses.

Chipotle teamed with Alphabet, Google's parent company, and Virginia Tech to develop the technology. Students will place their orders and drones will fly to them from a Chipotle food truck.

This will begin as an experiment at Virginia Tech approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Before Chipotle expands this service, the FAA will have to give further approval.

While this seems like an amusing way to get a burrito, it may indicate the future of fast food.
