Brandon Marshall got hurt during the game and Twitter users disturbingly called it 'karma'
Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall stood in support of former college teammate Colin Kaepernick on Thursday night by kneeling during the national anthem.
In the clear sign of protest, Marshall became another name on a growing list of athletes in support of Kaepernick's movement.
But the controversial move caught some Twitter users in their worst form – calling it "karma" when Marshall went down with an injury during the game.

"I'm not against the military, I'm not against America, I'm against social injustice," Marshall said after the Broncos 21-20 win.

The Broncos supported Marshall in a statement: "While we encourage members of our organization to stand during the National Anthem, we understand and respect it being a personal decision."
