Red carpet arrivals at the Venice Film Festival 2016

The stars are shining at the 73rd annual Venice Film Festival with dozens of big names hitting the red carpet this week. Amy Adams kicked off the week in an attention-grabbing gold, sequined gown that looked absolutely stunning against her bright red locks (steal her look here). Adams was on tap for the "Nocturnal Animals" premiere alongside her co-star Jake Gyllenhaal.

Natalie Portman was also a show-stopper at the film festival and she looked gorgeous in a white and black gown with intricate laser-cuts (steal her look here). Portman's film at the festival, "Jackie," is earning her rave reviews so far.

Australian actress Teresa Palmer put on a fashionable show at the premiere of "Hacksaw Ridge" in a pale pink dress with heavy embellishments. The pregnant star was joined on the red carpet by her co-star Mel Gibson.

Emma Stone also looked lovely at the festival in a silver dress with sparkling details throughout.

Dakota Fanning, Andrew Garfield, Suki Waterhouse and Naomi Watts were just a couple more major stars to attend the film festival and they all looked incredible. Stay tuned for more incredible photos of the Venice Film Festival.
