Seahawks' Jeremy Lane sat during the national anthem
Three NFL players sat during the national anthem Thursday night.
Two you've probably heard about by now – 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick and 49ers' safety Eric Reid. The two kneeled together while the Star Spangled Banner played before their preseason contest against the Chargers in San Diego.
Roughly 500 miles north of that game, another player was protesting the national anthem.
Seahawks' cornerback Jeremy Lane sat on the bench during the national anthem prior to Seattle's game at Oakland.

"I wasn't trying to say anything, just standing behind Kaepernick,'' Lane told reporters.
Lane, 26, is in his fifth year in the NFL after being taken by the Seahawks in the 2012 NFL Draft.
