You've most likely heard her all summer, on The Chainsmokers' irrepressible hit "Don't Let Me Down."

Now, Daya gets ready to release her own first full-length album, "Sit Still, Look Pretty," on October 7. The singer, 17, whose real name is Grace Martine Tandon, hails from Pittsburgh. And here's what else you need to know about her. (Plus, watch our interview with singer Nick Jonas above).

1. She's nervous and exhilarated about her her songs being out there. "It's just incredible. I can't believe my debut album is coming out to the world. I cannot wait for the world to hear it."

2. She's the real deal, meaning she's got vocal chops and musical training, starting with piano as a kid. "I've been doing music my whole life. I started playing instruments when I was really young. I got into musical theater when I was about ten. From there, I kept working at it and working at it."

3. She's not sick of "Don't Let Me Down," not now, not ever. "I love that song so much. I've loved it since they played it for me. It never gets old for me. I love performing it."

4. The one thing that's surprised her about success is how much time it takes up, having a music career. "I never have an off day. I'm either working on social media or on new music or on a show. I love it. I'm not complaining."

5. To relax, she exercises. Yes, she enjoys it. But don't judge her for it. "I love going running. I used to be a huge runner. I ran cross-country in high school. I try to keep up with it."
