Restaurant honors customer who passed away with a heartwarming tribute

We all have our favorite restaurants, but sometimes our loyalties reach far beyond simply liking the food. Over the years, you may develop relationships with the employees and find yourself becoming more of a friend to them than just a customer.

One Reddit user showed how much a restaurant can be like family. "My family and I have been going to La Bamba pretty much weekly since we moved to South Florida when I was 2 years old," they wrote.

The user knew that La Bamba was special not just because of how good the food was, but because of the people who work there.

La Bamba was the user's father's favorite restaurant as well. "It's what he had for his last meal before he become too sick to eat," they wrote.

They continued, "They found out about his passing and left his favorite drink and chips out for him at his favorite chair all day in his honor."

The user and their family were grateful that La Bamba made this tribute. "My family and I were so incredibly touched by this and it acted as a reminder as to why this is, and will always be, my favorite restaurant," they wrote.
