Hawaiian women wins $10.7M on penny slot machine

A Hawaiian women placed a bet on the cheapest slot machine in one Las Vegas casino and won a whopping $10.7 million.

The guest at the Wynn Las Vegas tried her luck at the a penny slot machine, placing $3 bets.

She cashed out the total payout of $10,777,270.51. More than $1 million of the win will go straight to state funds as Hawaii imposes an 11 percent rate on casino winnings.

The winning machine was a custom, Wynn-themed version of the popular Megabucks game that can be found at most casinos.

That game is the source of the largest slot machine jackpot ever recorded. A lucky 25-year-old Los Angeles resident won a total of $40 million on the machine at the Excalibur in 2003.

The lucky winner has decided to remain anonymous for now.
