On the Wednesday edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe, Ben Carson called Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton "elderly" and suggested they release their medical records to the public.

The comment came after Carson was asked about assertions that Rudy Giuliani had made concerning Clinton's health.

Clinton through the years:

Though Carson was asked to deliver a specific diagnosis, he simply responded, "My diagnosis would be that anybody who is elderly should expose their records and we the people should know what they are. Because it's a very stressful job — it's not an eight hour a day job, it's 24/7, and we need to make sure that it's taken care of."

He soon after clarified that the recommendation applies to both candidates.
