Here's some good news for all those laundry haters. Apparently you don't need to add denim to your laundry load.

Washing your jeans too much, or at all, could damage the material. It's also bad for the environment.

Levi's CEO told Fortune that jean lovers should never wash their jeans because it uses too much water.

"After we've finished wearing something, we just automatically toss it into the laundry," said Chip Bergh. "A good pair of denim doesn't really need to be washed in the washing machine except for very infrequently or rarely."

But what about germs?

Science says after one wear, clothes are covered in all the bacteria and microbes you pick up on your way to work.

Before you get grossed out -- the microbes are harmless. Bergh does recommend using a toothbrush to spot clean a stain because washing jeans too much can damage the material, causing it to loosen and stretch out.

So if you're wanting a pair of worn out faded jeans and don't want to pay a ridiculous price for them, go ahead and chuck them in the wash.
