She was the 2012 all-around gymnastics gold medalist. Given her sport's rules, she couldn't compete this time in Rio, because only two gymnasts from each country quality. And yet Gabby Douglas doesn't sound bitter or dissatisfied or frustrated. To the contrary. And that's after she got ridiculous flack for not putting her hand to her heart during the national anthem.

"I feel pretty amazing. Not too shabby. It was amazing to be back on another Olympic podium. Aand accomplishing one of my goals, which was to come back," she says.

And before you even ask, yes, you could possibly see her in Tokyo, at the next Olympics. "I hadn't really ruled that out yet. I'm taking time off. I'm still in Rio. I go home tomorrow and then fly to New York and do media with the team," says Douglas.

The whole team is taking a bit of a break from hard-core training and competition, says Douglas, who wants to hit some amusement parks with her family. Later on, she'll get back onto the beam and bars. "You ease back into it. A couple of hours a day. You can't force your body into it. You have to start off slow. Everyone starts off that way," says Douglas.

She's got a lot of stuff going on, as the face of Gillette Venus. Plus, there's the team tour of the United States.

Douglas wears those high-cut leotards, as do the rest of her teammates. She says Venus is crucial to, well, "keeping it looking good," she says with a giggle.

"In general, for me one of the things that keeps me going is the Venus. It's given me a flawless finish. Especially when I have to be in a leotard. There are cameras everywhere. Shaving is one of the things I do before competing. Moisturizing my skin is another, and I put sunscreen on my face," says Douglas.

Speaking of faces, Douglas couldn't contain her glee during one major moment in Rio. Like how about that time in the Rio cafeteria when three-time gold medalist Usain Bolt walked in -- and Douglas almost lost her mind?

"For me, I've been taking it all in. We got very excited when Usain walked in. We went over to him. I realized that I needed to keep it cool but I got so excited. He's never been in the Olympic village. I'd met him before and I kept my cool and casually walked by," she says.
