McGregor hints he could leave UFC

When Conor McGregor walked away the bloody victor after 25-minutes of hard-fought action against Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on Saturday, there was only one question on everyone's mind: What's next?

With a multitude of fighters calling for a fight against the UFC's biggest star, McGregor is anything but short on options for his next bout. While the general consensus amongst fans and pundits would be the trilogy fight against Diaz, UFC President Dana White has revealed on multiple occasions McGregor will be forced todrop back down to featherweight and defend his 145-pound title against Jose Aldo.

Speaking to @TheBuzzer last night, McGregor revealed his future plans maybe even involved the UFC.

"The belt situation is linger, revealed McGregor. "I've got to talk about what's next. There's a lot of options. Some might not be this sport. So, we'll see."

McGregor's comment could be latest attempt to draw attention to the long sought after megafight between himself and pound-for-pound boxing kingpin Floyd Maywethater Jr.

While this rumored has never come close to fruition, both McGregor and Mayweather have traded jabs through the media, with the boxer even taking to Twitter to promote the dream matchup.

However this matchup may prove once again to just be rumors, as boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor would require the UFC to co-promote the show with the boxer's own promotion, something the UFC has never been open to.

Another possibility could be a move over the WWE as both McGregor and the wrestling promotion's superstars have traded jabs through social media over the last few weeks. Similar to how Ronda Rousey made a one-time appearance on WrestleMania 31, McGregor could very well be the next UFC star to step foot into the squared circle.
