In a freak accident, Reader, 25, plummeted to the ground near Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps. He sustained a severe head wound and several injuries to his body.

After the incident, Reader was airlifted to the hospital and put in a coma but was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

After his passing, Reader underwent a successful procedure to donate his organs, which doctors say could save six lives.
