Today, Andrew Knowlton and Julia Kramer revealed the ten finalists for Bon Appétit's annual "Best New Restaurants" list. Emerging victorious from the preliminary round of 50 nominees is Atlanta's Staplehouse, winning the top spot and being described as "the next step in modern Southerncooking."

The rest of the list is equally impressive. Other finalists include critical darling Wildair in New York, modern Korean restaurant Baroo in Los Angeles, and South Philly's Barbacoa, the place where Kramer says she learned "everything really important and memorable" about the namesake Mexican dish.
