President Obama releases his 2016 summer playlist

Your Unofficial Election Playlist

President Obama just announced one of his most highly-anticipated projects of the year -- his summer playlist.

He tweeted a list of his favorite jams:

Fortunately, he broke it down between morning and night, so you know exactly what mood you'll be setting.

You can listen to the day playlist here and the night playlist here.

Many of the hits on the list are classic tunes, like "Sinnerman" by Nina Simone and "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys.

It also has some surprising modern hits like "Tightrope" by Janelle Monae and "Acid Rain" by Chance the Rapper.

Chance was really excited about it.

There is a notable lack of Beyonce, but just imagine the president rocking out to "The Man" by Aloe Blacc. Or anything by Sara Bareilles.

The last time Obama created a summer playlist was in August 2015, when the White House's Spotify account shared a playlist of his favorite songs for both the day and the night.
