On Monday, Hillary Clinton held a rally in Kissimmee, Florida, and one attendee at the event has captured quite a bit of attention.

Seddique Mateen, father of the shooter who killed dozens of people at an Orlando nightclub in June, was among the crowd.

In an interview with WPTV, Mateen said he believes Clinton is the superior candidate.

"Hillary Clinton is good for United States versus Donald Trump, who has no solutions," he said.

In regards to his son, Mateen noted, "I spoke a lot about that and wish that my son joined the Army and fought ISIS. That would be much better."

When asked whether Clinton's campaign knew he was going to the event, Mateen told WPTV, "it's a Democratic party, so everyone can join."

According to CBS News, an official with Clinton campaign said that "the rally was a 3,000-person, open-door event for the public. This individual wasn't invited as a guest and the campaign was unaware of his attendance until after the event."
