How to Store Your Food in the Fridge

While we all like to treat the fridge as a safe-haven for all things food and drink, there are things you should in fact not put there.

Storing the foods in the fridge won't cause any harm, however it may change the tastes and texture of your food.

So are these some of the things you are guilty of putting in the fridge?

Bread: It will go stale faster.

Onions: The odor can affect nearby food.

Garlic: Keep in a cool, dry place.

Avocado: Store in an open brown bag.

Tomatoes: The colder they are, the more taste they lose.

Honey: It will never go bad.

Cake: Best kept in an airtight container.

Melons: Until cut, don't put them in the fridge.

Coffee: It will absorb the smells of the food around it.

So why risk losing flavor when all you need to do is store your food correctly? Bon appetit!
