Bogus photo suggests Tony Romo gained a little weight during the off-season

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo isn't actually fat, despite what a Twitter photo might suggest.

The photo shows the 13-year veteran in mid-stride – looking a little heavier than we remember:

But rest assured, Cowboys fans. It's actually not a case of #dadbod, just a poor angle and unfortunate timing on the photographer's part.

The reporter who took the photo clarified the optical illusion of sorts:

"It certainly appears as if Romo is overweight. He is not. It was some poor camera work on my part," said Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

Romo, who missed 12 games in '15 with a broken clavicle, is currently listed at 230 pounds on the team's training camp roster. He weighs the exact same as he did the last time he took the field.

"He's in great shape," Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday. "He's in some of the best shape he's been in, so I don't know. You know everybody can take a picture of you that makes it look different than it is. But Tony's in great shape."

Football fans took to Twitter to express their concerns:

False alarm. Romo will be back "healthier than ever" in just a few short weeks.
