A single winning ticket in Saturday's $487 million Powerball drawing was sold in New Hampshire, lottery officials announced.

A buyer who matched all five numbers of 11-17-21-23-32 and Powerball 5 took the fifth-largest jackpot in Powerball's history. It was the eighth-largest lottery prize in the history of the U.S. earlier Saturday, when it was at $478 million.

The odds of buying the winning ticket are 1 in 292 million, according to Powerball.

The largest all-time biggest lottery prize offered in North America was a Powerball jackpot worth nearly $1.6 billion for winning tickets sold in California, Tennessee and Florida in January of this year.

Powerball is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
