But since it is International Day of Friendship, let's take a look at some of the most surprising friendships:

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning
They may be rivals on the field but are are when they step off it. Between golf games and double dates, they have each others' backs.

These two first connected online. The reality star and the politician became fast friends after a series of tweets.

Lady Gaga and Julian Assange
These two bonded over a spot of tea back in 2012. The singer visited Assange at the embassy where he was seeking asylum.

Meryl Streep and Hillary Clinton
This power duo has been friends for years. Hillary even said she would want Meryl to play her in a movie.

Bubba Watson and Justin Bieber
Another unlikely duo that became friends. Justin even taught Bubba's son how to play the drums.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal
They may battle it out on the court for the No. 1 seed, nut they also have a lot of respect for one another.

Dennis Rodman and Kim Jong-Un
After the infamous trip to North Korea in 2013, Rodman continues to visit. He's gone back six times to see his "friend for life".
