'Star Wars' producers admit guilt in Harrison Ford on-set 'Force Awakens' injury
The producers of "Star Wars" pleaded guilty to two criminal charges on Tuesday in a case surrounding Harrison Ford's on-set injury while filming "The Force Awakens."
Foodles Productions Ltd., a subsidiary of Disney, faced four criminal charges stemming from a now infamous incident in which Ford suffered a broken leg while filming the blockbuster sequel. The 74-year-old actor, who reprised his role as Han Solo, was hit by a hydraulic metal door on set aboard the Millennium Falcon.
After pleading guilty, two of the other charges were dropped against the company.

The Health And Safety Executive office, similar to OSHA in the United States, prosecuted Foodles for violations of safety standards on the set. As Foodles was responsible for producing the movie while it filmed at Pinewood Studios, they are legally responsible.

"Foodles Production (UK) Ltd has accepted it failed to protect actors and staff and HSE welcomes the firm's guilty plea," the company said in a statement to the BBC.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opened in December and quickly became one of the most succesful films of all time. At the time of this publishing, the film has already grossed well over $2 billion worldwide. "Star Wars Episode VIII" is already filming at Pinewood Studios.
