Elephants are everywhere at the Republican National Convention

Almost as well known as the Republican Party and its 2016 nominee Donald Trump is its elephant animal symbol. The elephant has been on the GOP scene since the 19th century when popular political cartoonist Thomas Nast used it to reference the party in Harper's Weekly in 1874.

142 years later, the elephant symbol is still alive and well in the Grand Ol' Party. At the 2016 Republican National Convention, elephants practically outnumbered people (almost).

AOL.com went to the RNC in Cleveland, Ohio and scoped out all the elephant merchandise at the convention -- from the simple to the outrageous.

If you're not looking for anything too fancy, the classic t-shirt is always a safe bet.
