Amanda Steele's rise to fame is nothing short of incredible. The young beauty guru first fell into the spotlight back when she was just 10 years old. She started out filming herself on her laptop computer, showcasing her favorite makeup looks. But for Steele, those first videos were more than just showing off her serious skills, it was about finding a community of people who she could relate to. As she mentions, "At the time, I couldn't go to people at school and talk to them in depth about makeup as much as I could with my subscribers on YouTube."

Steele went on to create incredible friendships with those subscribers and now Steele has become one of the most in-demand influencers in the social space. Her account, MakeupbyMandy24, boasts 2.8 million followers on just YouTube alone. She's also branched out into more than just make up tutorials; MakeupbyMandy24 has become an online destination for everything from gym workouts to apartment tours to even outfit inspiration. Amanda has also entered the acting world, starring in go90 series "Guidance" and "Inside Woman."

At just 17 years old, Amanda Steele has accomplished more than some of her adult counterparts -- and she has no plans to slow down.

We recently sat down with the viral YouTuber to talk about her career success, how she first fell in love with the beauty world, and more!

When did you first discover your love for beauty?
I always loved playing dress up with makeup when I was super young. Then I decided I wanted to be a fashion designer when I was younger. I just watched a bunch of design videos on YouTube and then I found the beauty community. And I really fell in love with it. It wasn't just about the beauty and makeup, it was about the connection I had with people for all over the world who were like me and loved talking about the same things I like.

How did you navigate through that digital space as such a young age?
It was a really accepting space. At the time, I couldn't go to people at school and talk to them in depth about makeup as much as I could with my subscribers on YouTube. It was a great outlet for me to express myself and meet other people online who liked the same things as me.

You've been on YouTube for a while now. How have you seen the platform change and evolve first-hand?
When YouTube first started it was a bunch of people showing their passions with other people who share the same passions. But now, I think everyone wants to be a YouTuber. I think they love the idea of a YouTuber and what comes with it. It also has definitely changed to more produced videos. People started taking it seriously and soon others caught on that the raw connection between the viewers and the person producing the content is so important. It's not a celebrity endorsing a product. The relationship is so great and feels like you're best friends with the person you're watching. It got more recognition for what it is, and has inspired a lot of people.

What one piece of advice you'd give to people hoping to make it big in the social space?
You have to be honest, real, and be yourself. People can tell when you're being fake or if you're trying to post for money, subscribers or whatever their motive is. If it's not about you showcasing or following what you're passionate about, people will see it and they won't have that trust. Plus, you might not stand out. If you're being true to yourself then people will be more drawn to you and connect with you.
