Who remembers when Ben Affleck and Matt Damon stole everyone's hearts by winning their maiden Oscars in 1997?!

The best friend duo had their defining moment 19 years ago when they accepted the Academy Award for Original Screenplay for "Good Will Hunting," a win that catapulted the pair's already burgeoning popularity into full-on superstardom.

Before "Hunting," Affleck and Damon had appeared in a few other projects together, but this was their first (and most serious) role to gain much traction with audiences and critics.

The pair's excitement was clear when they accepted their first Oscars in front of the biggest names in Hollywood, with Affleck doing most of the talking during their speech.

"I just said to Matt, 'Losing would suck, and winning would be really scary,'" Affleck joked to start off their speech. "And it's really, really scary!"

"We're just two young guys who were fortunate enough to be involved with a lot of really great people," he continued as Damon fist pumped to his Mom behind him. "There's no way we're doing this in less than 20 seconds..."

Affleck continued to rattle off a bunch of names as Damon fed him reminders of who to thank. They also gave shout-outs to their mothers (who were their beautiful dates for the evening), their co-stars and, hilariously, Cuba Gooding, Jr.
