Justice Ginsburg Quips Trump Presidency May Be A Motivator For Move To New Zealand

Over the weekend, the New York Times published an interview with Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

When asked how she felt about a possible Donald Trump presidency, she quipped that if faced with such a reality, her late husband would have declared, "'Now it's time for us to move to New Zealand.'"

On a more serious note, Ginsburg added, "I can't imagine what this place would be — I can't imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president."

She said, "For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don't even want to contemplate that."

Ginsburg pointed out the next president has the potential to make a number of Supreme Court Justice nominations, reports The Hill.

Not only is President Obama's pending nomination being ignored by the Senate, a number of justices are getting older.

As for Ginsburg, she says she intends to stick around for, "as long as I can do it full steam."
