ABC's Quantico is bulking up for season two.

The FBI thriller has enlisted Blair Underwood as a series regular for its sophomore run, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Underwood will take on the series regular role of Owen Hall. The character is described as having an instant presence — he's charming, direct and comfortable. He is the intelligent and inspirational CIA officer every fledgling operative wishes he or she could learn from. But is he running them, or using them for something else?

"Blair Underwood is the kind of actor you dream of writing for. Be it romantic comedy, dark drama, or high-octane thriller — there is nothing he can't do. We look forward to creating a role that will showcase his huge range and boundless charisma," Quantico creator/executive producer Joshua Safran said.

For Quantico, Underwood becomes the second series regular the Priyanka Chopra starrer has added for its upcoming season. The drama also enlisted Looking grad Russell Tovey to play Harry Doyle, a mysterious character described as part Thomas Crown, part grown-up Artful Dodger.

Repped by ICM Partners and Thruline, Underwood is a two-time Golden Globe nominee who returns to ABC following roles on Agents of SHIELD as well as Dirty Sexy Money. His credits credits include The Good Wife, In Treatment and a recent run on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire.

Quantico returns Sunday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
