Change coming to Amazon product listings

Amazon Will Drop List Prices for Some Products

Amazon boasts some of the best deals on the Internet, but how are customers going to know if they're getting a deal now that the retail giant is dropping 'list prices' from some of its products?

While some listings will still show a list price along with the discounted price, other listings will show only one price: Amazon's price.

This new change could have something to do with consumers suing retailers for inflating suggested retail prices to make discounts appear larger than they are.

Or this could just be Amazon testing a new model to see how much consumers are swayed by marked discounts, or if they'll still make purchases without an obvious markdown.
