Ricky Gervais unveils new comedy folk music video

As the clock ticks down towards the release of his latest film, Ricky Gervais is returning to the spotlight, or at least his character from the U.K. version of The Office, David Brent, is being seen.

In David Brent: Life on the Road, set to hit U.K. theaters in August, Gervais returns as the failed middle-manager whose somewhat delusional rock star aspirations take him on a concert tour of the U.K.

To get fans in the mood for Brent's big-screen musical debut, distributor eOne has released a video for a new song called Lady Gypsy, featuring Gervais in full folk-musician mode, with what appear to be high-waisted Robin Hood-style trousers and even a little neckerchief as he stalks a woman in an autumnal woods.

"I lost my heart to a lady gypsy, so long ago that I forget her name," he sings, while straddling the branch of a tree.
