Adele set to dominate U.K. albums chart following Glastonbury Festival performance
Adele's triumphant performance at a wet, muddy Glastonbury Festival should have a warm afterglow for the singer.
The British superstar's headline-grabbing session on stage could result in another stint at No. 1 as her three albums enjoy explosive post-Glastonbury sales.
The Londoner's latest set 25 (XL) rises 13-1 on the Official Chart Update, with sales up 176% on the previous week. The album's performance also benefits from its rollout to streaming services last Friday (June 24), a day prior to her headline slot at the famous English festival. To date, 25 has spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart.

The singer's sophomore album 21 leaps 58-9, and her debut 19 is poised to re-enter the top 40 for the first time in six months; it's currently at No. 13.
Adele isn't the only performer who is enjoying a post-Glastonbury "halo effect." Friday night's headliner Muse see their latest album Drones (Helium 3/Warner Bros) rise 179-15; ELO's"legend slot" on Sunday night has helped the band's best-of All Over the World (EPIC) climb to No. 3; while the likes of Foals, The 1975, Last Of The Shadow Puppetsand Tame Impala are among those enjoying gains after takes their places on the Glastonbury bill.
The top five at the midway-point of the chart week is rounded out by Rick Astley's50 (BMG) at No. 2, ELO's compilation at No. 3, Christine & The Queens'Chaleur Humaine (Because Music) at No. 4 and Red Hot Chili Peppers'The Getaway (Warner Bros) at No. 5.
There's an element of deja vu on the U.K. Singles Chart Update, on which Kungs vs Cookin' On 3 Burners' "This Girl" (3 Beat) is narrowly ahead of Drake's "One Dance" (Cash Money/Republic Records) in the race for No. 1.
Adele's '25' Finally Headed to Streaming Services
The French DJ and Australian funk trio's collab is just 3,500 combined sales ahead of Drake's hit, the third straight week its been leading at the halfway point of the chart cycle. On each occasion, Drake's single has found the legs to complete the week at the summit.
The rest of the top 5 is unchanged withJustin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling" (RCA) at No. 3, Calvin Harris and Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For" (Columbia) at No. 4, and Drake and Rihanna's "Too Good" at No. 5.
