Happy Anniversary William & Kate: A Look Back at Their Royal Wedding

There's little to no doubt about the level of Kate Middleton's flawlessness. Ever since the now-Duchess of Cambridge stole the heart of our teenage heartthrob, Prince William, took the bridal world by storm with her epic wedding dress, and then subsequently had two as-close-to-perfect-as-possible children, we've just come to accept the fact that Kate Middleton can do no wrong. But, well, we were wrong about that.

At a charity gala this week for East Anglia's Children's Hospices, the mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte revealed to a group that she, um, kind of sucks at cooking — oh, and we should mention that the group she was talking to included Michelin-starred chefs, according to Vogue. "William has to put up with my cooking most of the time," she reportedly said. Her husband confirmed: "It's the reason I'm so skinny," Prince William added, jokingly. Turns out, Kate ain't no Betty Crocker.

In the Duchess' defense, the Prince may be no more culinary-inclined: during their recent Indian tour, she refused to even taste the dosa he'd prepared, according to People.

Regardless of their ineptitude in the kitchen, Prince William and his beloved still do their own cooking, apparently — as recently as 2015, reports speculated that the royal couple did not employ a chef — in order to preserve their privacy.

Despite this new evidence to the contrary, we still think the Duchess of Cambridge is pretty much as close to perfect as possible. Just last week she re-wore something from her wedding day — no, not the Alexander McQueen wedding dress that launched a thousand long-sleeve lace wedding gowns, but her bespoke Robinson Pelham bridal earrings — and created an Internet sensation in doing so. Besides, who cares if the Duchess of Cambridge can't fry an egg? We think this new little tidbit of insider info just adds to her charm.
