He's gone from "gym, tan, laundry" on the "Jersey Shore" to "gym, tan, love" on "Famously Single."

Yes, we're talking about DJ Pauly D, real name Paul DelVecchio, who appeared on the E! romance Rx series and emerged dating singer Aubrey O'Day. Now, says Pauly D, he's famously taken.

"I didn't know what I was getting myself into to," says Pauly D. "Never did I expect to find love on the show. "I didn't expect it to change my life the way it did. I came out of it with a girlfriend."

He lived in a house with other bold-faced folks and leaned on relationship coaches to guide him through his budding romance. "The best dating advice is to communicate. I never knew what I meant. But it means telling the other person exactly how you feel as much as you can. That's how you resolve your problems," he says.

His DJ gigs give him access to women a-plenty, he says, but he was looking for something more meaningful. That meant letting down his guard.

Relationships aside, Pauly has released a new single, "Did You Know," with Tdot illdude, and is on tour, closing out in Atlantic City on Sept. 24. O'Day will be with him at some of his gigs, but not all. "It's summer and it's my favorite time to DJ. I do all the pool parties all over the world. I'm looking forward to the summer gigs," he says.

What makes O'Day different from the other ladies? "I'm constantly interested in her. I want to learn more about her. I enjoy about her company. I enjoy my time with her. The other girls, I didn't want that with," he says.

Another thing he took away from "Famously Single" was to recognize and treasure a good person when you meet her (or him). "Going into a relationship, you need to give it your all. I'm able to do that. I was doing all the wrong things before," he says.

Plus, he and O'Day broke the ice fairly quickly. "Normally, you don't live with them right away and we lived together right away. You get that other stuff out of the way. We saw how each other lived right away. It makes it easier. It worked. I can't knock it," says Pauly D.
