Galaxy doughnuts are blowing up on social media. And the doughnuts look out of this world.

To achieve this glorious, futuristic look, bakers drip food coloring into the white icing and swirl the colors around. Carefully, the bakers artists dip the doughnuts half way into the icing, and angle the pastry to allow for the colors to drip down in beautiful, artistic deliciousness.

And the icing on the cake doughnut is a dash of glitter sprinkles.

Supernova donuts 🌌🍩💜 by @gingervegan Recipe: Makes 12 standard sized donuts Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups white spelt flour 3 tbsp cocoa powder 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda 2 tbsp ground chia seed 3/4 cup soy milk 1 tsp apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp vanilla extract 1/3 cup grapeseed oil 1/2 cup agave syrup Method: Stir the apple cider vinegar into the soy milk and leave for a few minutes. Stir together the dry ingredients. Combine the rest of the wet ingredients with the soy milk and then mix into the dry ingredients. Spoon into greased donut pans and bake for 10 mins at 175°C or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Cool for a couple of minutes in tin before transferring to wire racks to cool. For the icing melt 3 tbsp coconut oil then add 3 tbsp soy milk and mix well. Stir in 1 1/2 to 2 cups icing sugar or until desired consistency is reached. For the galaxy effect drop food colouring on the top of the icing and swirl with a small spoon. Dip the donut in, swirl around and carefully lift out. Repeat for each one. Sprinkle with edible glitter for an extra special sparkle! Enjoy! #letscookvegan
