She is competing against four other cats, six dogs and a rabbit. Just to throw it into perspective, the rabbit is so big that it can't even hop in the Pet Fit Club for PDSA, the UK's leading veterinary charity dedicated to animal wellness.

This year marks the 11th year the PDSA has held the fitness competition. PDSA hopes that through the challenge, they will help animals achieve a healthy body weight.

Puff will definitely have her work cut out for her, though. She weighs in at more than 16 pounds. Puff's owner knew the cat was big boned when she was brought home from a local shelter in a dog carrier, since she didn't fit into a standard cat carrier.

Puff's owner added that she tries to scale back on meals, but the hungry kitty can't be stopped. She's been caught eating fish food right out of the fish tank!

Hopefully, the competition inspires Puff to turn her life around and get into better shape. Her current weight leaves her at risk of long-term health problems like heart disease and diabetes.

If Garfield could do it, so can she.
