A new interview with Hopper Penn, the son of actress Robin Wright and longform journalist Sean Penn, was posted by Interview magazine on Tuesday. When your name is Hopper, you can only expect that someone is going to ask you why your name is Hopper, and that's precisely what John Ortved did. Young Penn explained it graciously:

It has to do with Dennis Hopper; my dad was friendly with him and idolized him. My dad wanted to name me Steak, the food, because he loves it so much. But my mom was never going to go for it. What they told me is that I hopped in her stomach, I didn't kick, so they went with that.

Just think: In a parallel universe in which only men get to choose their offspring's name, you could be known as Lawnmower, Motorcycle, Cigar, Goodfellas, or, yes, even Steak.
