OnlyOnAOL: The Olsen sisters made this the 'greatest day of my career'

Mark Townsend is one of Hollywood's most beloved hair gods. No, really. The guy is gracious, hilarious, and deeply in-demand. It takes a lot to impress him. Thankfully, he counts the tres chic Olsen sisters as his longtime clients. And they were the best-tressed trio at Monday's CFDA awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

"So tonight was the greatest day of my career!! First time getting all three ready together and I couldn't stop smiling," he said, after styling all three Olsen siblings for the CFDA awards.

We're talking Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who run the luxe label The Row, and their sister Elizabeth, who's the Scarlet Witch in "Captain America: Civil War."

For Mary-Kate Olsen, Townsend wanted her hair to look like she came directly from the beach. So he diffused her hair with a blow dryer to maintain the natural waves. He then sprayed it with Ouai Wave Spray for that perfect beachy bendy texture, following that up with his R Sessions Tidal Iron, alternating between the different size barrels. He topped it off with the Dove dry shampoo.

For Ashley Olsen, Townsend wanted her hair to dry naturally. Once it had air-dried, he again used his R Sessions Tidal Waver and gave her natural waves more definition by using the figure eight method. He capped it off with the Dove dry shampoo for volume and texture.

For Elizabeth Olsen, Townsend knew he wanted a half-up look, so he opted for a sleek and healthy half pony tail. He blew her hair out, and once it was dry, he went in section by section and sprayed the Dove dry shampoo to her roots. He sectioned a high ponytail at her crown and secured it with 3 Blax black elastics. By tripling the elastics, the ponytail had more grip and a higher lift.
