Poll: Clinton Maintains Slight Edge Over Trump

Hillary Clinton is regaining her lead over Donald Trump in the latest national poll averages and betting markets.

Not long ago, Clinton led by a massive margin. Then Trump locked up the Republication nomination and surged, erasing Clinton's lead in the poll averages and narrowing the gap on the major markets.

In the last two weeks, however, Clinton has stopped the bleeding and begun to widen her lead again.

THE POLLS:

In the latest poll average from Real Clear Politics, Clinton has regained a small (1 point) lead. This is after losing a massive ~20 point gap at the beginning of April.

THE MARKETS

Clinton is also now again widening her lead on various betting and prediction markets. She never completely lost her advantage here, but the gap did narrow. Now, reflecting the current consensus, it's widening again.

Three of the major markets now put Clinton's odds of winning the Presidency at about 65%-70%.
