Olivia Wilde tapped to direct music video for The Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have tapped Olivia Wilde to direct the music video for their latest single "Dark Necessities."

Olivia has slowly built up a directing resume; she first ventured into the field with the dreamy music video for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros' "No Love Like Yours" -- even more impressive considering the entire clip was shot on an iPhone 6S.

Olivia and the band have teased at the project on social media, releasing photos from the set, including a photo of Olivia attempting to hide her baby bump, as well as one of drummer Chad Smith playing "at twice the normal speed," per the director's request.
