The power of music is real and one viral video is proving the point. Musician and educator David Alexis recently shared a video of a piano lesson with an autistic man, showing how transformative music can be.

The magical moment shows Alexis playing the piano and singing the O'Jays "Love Train" with his student and it has captured the hearts of thousands -- the tweet has received almost 4,000 likes and 3,000 retweets.

Alexis says the moment was a "needed reminder" as to why he does music, and was such a few seconds of a music therapy session he does with adults with disabilities.

"I believe in using contemporary music to appeal to music of students' everyday experience," Alexis told Buzzfeed. "I use popular songs to introduce elements of music theory and production."
