Niall Horan has been receiving "abusive" messages from fans online, the One Direction member revealed on Tuesday.
Horan, who was one fifth of One Direction, lamented about the treatment he's been getting on social media that has been "keeping [him] awake at night."
"For the last two weeks I've been receiving messages off a group of fans, they have drowned my phone in messages, keeping me awake at night," he started. "But the worst part is. They have been nothing but abusive, saying things you wouldn't even believe about me and my family."
The singer went on to explain that the anonymous threats have been aimed at his family, specifically his nephew.

"Thank god I'm not the kind of person who thinks into stuff like this," he said.

Though Horan insisted that he won't let the mean-spirited messages get to him, he expressed his disdain for people who send such harsh words his way.
"Don't worry about me. I'm the most carefree, laid-back person around," he said. "But I'm just signaling it, because this shite is happening to others."
