How to get through your TSA check faster
By: Michelle Rosique/Keleigh Nealon
Before you can reach your vacation destination, you must make your way through the dreaded TSA line.
Luckily, there are a few things you can do to speed up the process.
You can ensure a quicker TSA experience by avoiding rush hour flight times such as weekends, early mornings and evenings.
The best days for an easy airport experience are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which are usually slowest.
For an extra 85 dollars, you can sign up for the VIP service by visiting the TSA online and filling out a pre-check application.
VIP line service offers access to a special line without having to take off any clothing or remove objects from your luggage.
Be as prepared as possible by avoiding shoes with laces, and pack your laptops and liquids at the top of your bag for easy access.
Always adhere to the three-hour rule for standard airport arrival time before take-off.
This rule isn't just applicable to international flights anymore.
Check out your airport's social media account, as they're always updating security wait times.
Now that you've saved hours of waiting in the security line, you can spend more time relaxing at the airport bar!
