In today's dose of adorable news: meet Charli Promise!
Charli is an orphaned baby horse who was found alone near the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Oregon.
Several different groups got involved and managed to save little Charli's life.
When she was found, the week-old horse was thin, brittle and covered in bruises. It is unknown where her mother is or what she went through.
Fortunately, humans intervened and rushed Charli to the Bend Equine Medical Center, where she was held in critical care for several days. She now lives at the 3 Sisters Equine Refuge, where she is living a much better life.
Cyndi Davis from 3 Sisters believes that since Charli was born wild, she may have been orphaned by a car accident or cougar attack.
But things are looking up for the foal! At the Refuge, Charli has made a new friend. In a moment of total cuteness overload, she was photographed snuggling with an oversized stuffed dog.
Before she is introduced to other horses, Charli will have to be nourished back to full health.
In the meantime, the massive plush toy will be giving her all the cuddles she's missed out on.
