It was a chart-topping, electrifying dance party Saturday night at 102.7 KIIS FM's Wango Tango hosted by Ryan Seacrest and AOL was there to catch all the fun and excitement at the annual pop music festival.

"Gwen Stefani, Gwen Stefani, Gwen Stefani is who I'm most excited to see," said Laura Marano who performed at KIIS FM's village earlier in the day. That sentiment that was also shared by Australian singer and model Alli Simpson, and several others are they geared up for the evening.

Others were excited to see just about anyone at the star-packed fest.

"I'm excited to see everyone -- DNCE, Demi, Mike Posner, Zayn" said the gorgeous up-and-coming singer Sofia Carson.

And when Demi Lovato took the stage to kick off the festival, things were at a near-fever pitch of excitement. Lovato nearly brought down the house with her insane vocals as the sun rolled down.

Meghan Trainor elevated the dance party and brought everyone to their feet with her catchy new single "NO" off her brand-new album and closed out her set with the body empowering anthem "All About That Bass."

The Chainsmokers turned up the bass and got everyone jumping to their party anthem "Roses" and their new single "Don't Let Me Down" featuring Daya, who joined the DJ duo during their performance of the song.

"They're a blast to be around," said Daya. "I'm really proud of the song and how it turned out -- I'm really excited to see it take off." And they definitely did not disappoint us Saturday night.

One of the major highlights of the show was the gorgeous Gwen Stefani who took us back to her "Hollaback Girl" days singing some of her older fan favorites like "Rich Girl" and "Sweet Escape."

Perhaps one of the best #slay moments of the entire night was when she shouted, "I hate liars!" Next up, she closed her set with her new song "Baby Don't Lie," a song rumored to be about ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Girl power continued to take over the night with the all-girl group, Fifth Harmony, who rocked the house (clad in leather black bodysuits) with their smash hit "Michelle Obama," an ode to female empowerment.

The leading lady of the entire night was the one and only Ariana Grande who in perfect pop-princess style took over the stage in an oversized fur coat and glittering jewels. The "Dangerous Woman" brought thousands of people to their feet, singing along to her hit "Bang Bang" and EDM party anthem "Break Free."

If the night was any indication of where pop music is headed, it's crystal clear that #GirlPower is stronger than ever.
