Bernie Sanders supporters could be in for a deadly surprise if they try to make glow sticks based off a meme circulating around the internet.

The legitimate-looking post gives alleged instructions on how to create long-lasting glow sticks with the Democratic hopeful's name stamped on them, according to Mic.

It even has an endorsement message printed on the bottom that reads, "Bernie Sanders approves this how-to tutorial."

There's just one huge issue with all of this.

If you follow the given directions, you won't get a shiny new toy to show how much you "feel the Bern" -- you'll actually end up making a potentially lethal chlorine bomb.

The instructions require you to mix chlorine with isopropyl alcohol and shake them up inside a closed bottle, which is likely to cause a pressurized explosion.

Also, if you breathe in enough of the gas created from the reaction it could cause a dangerous respiratory attack.

Online users have warned against following the instructions in a stream of comments on social media.
