Kate Hudson shows off incredible vocal chops with Prince cover

Kate Hudson sure can belt a tune!

The "Mother's Day" star hit the stage at her mother, Goldie Hawn's, annual Love In for Kids charity event in Beverly Hills on Friday and covered Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U."

Hudson, 37, shared a clip of her performance on her Instagram account over the weekend and proved that she's an all-around gifted performer. Her soulful voice garnered cheers from the enthusiastic crowd throughout the video.

After news of Prince's unexpected death a few weeks ago, the actress routinely posted videos of herself listening to the late singer's music on her much-followed Snapchat account. It was evident to all of her followers that she was a huge fan of his, which makes the clip of her performance that much more emotional.
