A man in Israel has taken legal action against God for treating him poorly.

The Huffington Post is reporting that David Shoshan filed a restraining order against the Lord for negatively influencing his life over the past three years.

No specific examples have been released publicly, notes the Times of Israel.

According to Newsweek, the plaintiff appeared in court on Tuesday to file the claim; the defendant, God, was marked absent from the hearing.

During his time in front of the judge, Shoshan claimed to have contacted the police several times about his maltreatment.

Authorities then reportedly advised him to "take out a restraining order."

So, he did.

The judge ultimately dismissed the case, saying that the man needed to get help elsewhere, according to the Times of Israel.
