What's black and white and regal all over? The Louis Vuitton dress worn by Selena Gomez to the Met Ball on Monday. Her glam was courtesy of Hung Vanngo, for Kiehl's Since 1851. He's been working with Gomez for a year, and calls the singer/actress a "dream." We couldn't agree more.

"At this point in my life, I wouldn't work with anyone I don't enjoy. I'm not a kid anymore. You want to go home and feel good about yourself. I know the theme but we made her look very effortless. Everything was kept minimal. She looked beautiful. We kept the skin natural. You saw the texture, and it was healthy," says Vanngo.

His focus was on her eyes. "I didn't want to overly exaggerate it. There was an overlay of reflective gold shimmer all around the eye and the lid. It's very subtle," says Vanngo.

Same goes for Gomez, who can rock a red carpet with total serene ease.

"Selena is very calm and confident. She's very calm," says Vanngo. "She looks young but she's a confident woman. She doesn't get stressed out easy. With Selena, to be honest, 99 percent of the time we discuss (her look) when we get there. She's very open-minded. She lets you be creative. She loves makeup."
