Mother's Day spotlight: Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson has been a mainstay of Hollywood and celebrity culture since her breakout role in the 2000 film, "Almost Famous." Though we love her for her career full of amazing films -- "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," anyone?! -- there's an entirely different role why we love and respect Hudson: Her role as a mother.
Hudson, 37, has two sons: 12-year-old Ryder Robinson, whose father is The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, and 4-year-old Bingham Hawn Bellamy, whose father is Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy.

The Oscar nominee clearly has a lot of fun being a mother, as evidenced recently by her incredible Snapchat account. Her dedication (early wake-ups!) and enthusiasm (endless playing and adventures) for her children is not lost on her followers on the social media platform, and neither is her humor.

Hudson recently told Stephen Colbert with a laugh that, as much as she loves her kids, there will always be moments where, well, they get on her last nerves.
"He's a great kid, I love him so much," she said of her older son, Ryder. "They're your kids and you love them and then you can't stand them sometimes -- it's just the truth."

She also told "Live! With Kelly and Michael" that, though they get along, her sons have totally different personalities. Ryder, 12, is a total ladies man and inherited his musician father's hipster sensibility: He dresses "fashion-forward" and is "anti-everything." On the other hand, Bingham, 4, is super hardcore and "goth."
With two young boys, holding down the fort while also managing her own incredibly successful, multi-industry career must be exhausting, but Hudson makes it look easy -- and fun. For those reasons, Kate Hudson is one of our favorite mother's in Hollywood.
